  • If you submitted your immigration application online, you can update your address directly through your USCIS online account.

In today’s guide, we’ll focus specifically on filing Form AR-11 online using the Change of Address page. This method allows you to efficiently update your address across all pending applications, petitions, or requests without the need to mail a paper form.

Step-by-Step Guide: How to Update Your Address with USCIS Online

Follow these simple steps to update your address:

  1. Visit the USCIS Website
    Open your web browser and go to the official USCIS website.
  2. Answer the Eligibility Question
    Scroll down until you see a blue-text question asking if you have a pending immigration-related application, petition, or have not received a notice, card, or document.
    → If this applies to you, click “Yes.”
  3. Enter Case Information
    Fill out:
    • Form Number
    • Form Subtype
    • Receipt Number
    • ZIP Code (from your Form I-797C Notice of Action)
  4. If you have multiple applications (e.g., Form I-485, Form I-765, Form I-131), click “Add” to include them all in one address update request.
    Need to remove one? Click “Remove.”
  5. Provide Applicant or Petitioner Information
    Enter your:
    • First Name
    • Middle Name (if any)
    • Last Name
    • Date of Birth
    • A-Number (if applicable)
  6. Special Note:
    If you are serving in the U.S. military, recently discharged, or the spouse of a service member, make sure to check the appropriate box.
